You probably experienced opening an application which worked before and after a computer crash or something, some applications don't work anymore. They crash. One of the crash error problem is "kernelbase.dll"
Corruption to this file leads to an error related to kernelbase.dll.
One quick solution to this is to replace the file by
UPGRADING THE OPERATING SYSTEM using you operating system installer itself.
(Note: this method works only for Vista and Windows 7)
For Windows XP, you can always install XP and repair your old XP OS.
This is a rather long method but, sure thing, all bugs, after you do this, will be gone before you know it.
